My wife and I began attending G3 Church in May of 2016. G3 Church was having “Law Enforcement Sunday” and had invited many of the local first responders. Attending this service was the first time I had attended church in almost 20 years. Throughout our relationship, my wife tried numerous times to find a church home for us. None of the churches we visited made me feel very welcome. We decided to attend G3 Church a few more times when they were doing a series called “Making It Through.”
The atmosphere at G3 Church felt very causal with an upbeat worship. Everyone said “hi” and made us feel very welcomed. I felt that I was able to “check” the place out without being put on the spot. As we continued to attend the services, the feeling of being part of the church community began to grow within both us. My wife soon became a part of the G3 Kids, bringing her ideas and love for God to the forefront. Seeing the love for God that my wife had, showed me the opportunity to develop a relationship with Jesus. This has afforded me to see God’s work in action with a front row seat. More recently, I became a member of the G3 Church Media Team and help with our social media programs.
The more involved with the church that we both became the more we found value in the relationships that we have built with our now G3 family. Outings with fellow G3 members and couple has really allowed us to grow spiritually and in our marriage to help build a stronger foundation.
During the spring of 2018 our G3 Church family rallied around us as we decided to embark on our Foster Parent journey. Since receiving a foster placement, G3 Church has gone out of its way to love on us, provide for us, and pray for us every step of the way. As our family grows, we continue to root ourselves in the church where we truly feel like we belong. We now know why all the other churches that we tried never felt just right, because they weren’t G3.
